Mayola J. (Myers) Sheets

THOMASVILLE – Mayola J. (Myers) Sheets, 84, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of the late Martin R. Sheets. Funeral services and burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born September 27, 1926 in Hanover a daughter of the late Kenneth J. and Beatrice C. (Scheivert) Ott, she has retired from Bon-Ton in 1991. Mrs. Sheets was a member of Union Lutheran Church; a life member at the ladies auxiliary of Dion Rumble VFW 7227, Carthage, NY; and enjoyed completing word searches. Mrs. Sheets is survived by a daughter, Cherry F. and husband Harold Whitehead of Thomasville; a son, James M. and wife Anita Sheets of Carthage; six grandchildren, Lisa A. Ankney, Wayne L. Sndyer, Jr, Ashley J. Bair, Chiarra C. Joseph, Brittney A. Sheets, and Alexis S. Sheets; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth E. Ott of California and Richard J. Ott of York; and a sister, Yvonne M. Draper of Dover. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Martina L. Snyder; a great granddaughter, Marissa J. Snyder; and a sister, Jolene D. Sipe.
