Maxine Swartz Lamison

YORK- Maxine (Swartz) Lamison, 92, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Colonial Manor. She was the wife of the late Frederick Lamison who died on July 26, 1993. The couple was united in marriage on June 29, 1947. Services are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born November 15, 1923 in Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Greenland) Swartz. She was employed as a Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service. Maxine was a member of the Cromwell United Bible Church in Three Springs, PA. She enjoyed playing the piano for many years. Mrs. Lamison is survived by a daughter, Polly Lamison of York. She was preceded in death by her daughter Peggy Lamison who died on December 3, 2009; and a brother, Floyd J. Swartz.
