Maxine R. (Tyson) Lumsargis

YORK- Maxine R. (Tyson) Lumsargis, 77, of Manchester Township died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ronald J. Lumsargis. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Pastor Gregory B. Lindsey will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. Maxine was born in York on September 23, 1934, daughter of the late Woodrow and Dorothy (Gemmill) Tyson. She retired in 1992 from Honeywell Corporation in York. Maxine was a 1952 graduate of North York High School and a founding member of Manchester Historical Society. She enjoyed researching genealogy and creating many types of art, especially dioramas. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and spending time with her family. She served in the US Air Force. Maxine leaves three sons, Mark Lumsargis of Exton, Jason Lumsargis of Dover, and Paul Lumsargis of York; four grandchildren, Victoria, Lucas, Anna, and Emma; a sister, Dorothy Ann Lightner of Lancaster; and a brother Jared Tyson of New Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Manchester Township Historical Society, in memory of Maxine Lumsargis, c/o Manchester Township, 3200 Farm Trail Road, York, PA 17406.
