Max L. Kopp, Sr

York--Max L. Kopp, Sr., 87, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Country Meadows of York-South. He was the husband of Sarah A. (Fox) Kopp to whom he was married for 61 years. A Graveside Tribute Service will be 12PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Windsor Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dr. Leon C. Via III, chaplain at Country Meadows of York. Born October 15, 1929 in Windsor, he was a son of the late Ammon M. and Barbara (Gohn) Kopp. He was employed as a milkman for 40 years, working with Warner’s Dairy and Rutter’s Dairy. He also worked with Quaker Paper for 8 years in their maintenance dept, until his retirement in 2006. A dedicated member of the Red Lion Senior Center, he was also a member of the Windsor Lion’s Club, Windsor United Methodist Church and a scout master (Troop 44) in Windsor for many years. Above all, he loved and was very thankful for his family and he was a loved father and cherished grandfather. In addition to his wife, Mr. Kopp is also survived by four children, Max L. Kopp, Jr., and wife, Julie, Randy L. Kopp and wife, Donna, Stacie S. Holsopple and husband, Kevin and Gregory E. Kopp and wife, Gina; eight grandchildren, Max Kopp III, Chloe Kopp, Damon Kopp, Corrine Kopp, Sam McKinley, Laura McKinley, Amber Ilg, Heather Nugent and Olivia Frank; eight great grandchildren, Cameron, Holden, Laiken, Sonny, Tenley, Rylee, Mason and Lily; one brother, Thurman Kopp; one sister, Dana Bull and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Kopp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Red Lion Senior Center, 20C Gotham Place, Red Lion, Pa 17356.
