POTTSVILLE-Maureen R. (Phillips) Johnson, 52, of Pottsville, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Schuylkill Medical Center East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Celebration of Life Services will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Saint Patrick Church. Family and friends may call at the church from 11:00 A.M. till 12:50 P.M. There will be no calling hours Wednesday evening and no procession from the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc to the church. Interment Odd Fellows Cemetery, Saint Clair, PA. Mrs. Johnson was born in Pottsville, March 25, 1957, the daughter of Irma Champion Phillips, Honeybrook, PA, and the late John Phillips. She graduated from Pottsville Area High School in 1975. She work in the dietary department of the former Good Samaritan Hospital and recently was a sales clerk for Philip Van Heusen, Company, Schuylkill Haven. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Saint Patrick Church, Pottsville. Preceded Mrs. Johnson in death besides her father is a daughter Amanda L. Johnson. Surviving is her husband Gilbert J. Johnson, Jr., Pottsville, a son Daniel S.Johnson, Pottsville; her mother Irma "Champion" Phillips, Honeybrook, PA a brother Joseph "Ron" , husband of Kathy Phillips, Pottsville; four sisters Patricia Phillips, Maiden Creek, PA; Joan Marie, wife of Kurt Steidle, Honeybrook, PA; Elaine M., wife of Ron Yondura, Port Carbon; and Kathleen M., wife of Steve O'Neill, Enola, PA. several Aunts and Uncles and nieces and nephews.
