Maureen Elaine Miller

Manchester- Maureen E. (McAllister) Miller, 58, died at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, MD, Friday, August 17, 2007. She was the loving wife of Emory L. Miller. A Celebration of Life service will be 8pm Monday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with the Rev. Edward C. Malesic of Holy Infant Catholic Church, York Haven officiating. A visitation will be Monday 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Miller was born on January 6, 1949 in Shamokin, a daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Milbrand) McAllister. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant for 16 years with Wheatland Optical. Mrs. Miller loved to talk and was very social. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and was a member of the social club, The Red Hat Society. Mrs. Miller was a fun-loving person and loved being a grandmother. In addition to Emory, Maureen is survived by two daughters, Melissa M. and her husband, Christopher Guyer of NJ and Rochelle M. and her husband, Michael Fluhr of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Breanna, Emory, Sophia, and Olivia; and a brother, Robert and his wife, Maryanne McAllister of DE. Preceding her in death is her brother; Jeffrey McAllister and her Father and Mother in-law, Herman and Matilda (Kehler) Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society- Central PA Chapter, 800 Corporate Circle #100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
