Matthew J. Leonard

DOVER- Matthew J. Leonard, 58, passed away Wednesday, June 04, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Brenda E. (Shaffer) Leonard. The couple would have celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary on June 10th. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born June 1, 1956 in York, Matthew was the son of Lloyd Leonard of York and the late Shirley (Sprenkle) Leonard. He worked as a truck driver for Kinsley Construction. Matthew was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post #791 for over 20 years. He loved hunting, fishing and NASCAR. In addition to his wife, Mr. Leonard is survived by two sons, Joshua Leonard and Denton Leonard of Dover; a step son, T.Jay Stockbower of Reading; three grandchildren, and a sister, Christine Strunk and her husband Mark of Lebanon.
