Marylouise Linberg

SHINTOWN – MaryLouise Linberg (PennDot Mary), 75, passed away peacefully at her home in Shintown on March 10, 2020 surrounded by her family and friends. Born on April 18, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Josephine L. (Samansky) Barko. MaryLouise was married to the late Ronald Lee Linberg. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Loyal Order of Moose, and Daughters of the American Legion. MaryLouise was a homemaker until 1983 when she went to work for Kettle Creek State Park and then Chem Con Unit. She started her employment with PennDot in June of 1985 until her retirement in June of 2004. To say MaryLouise loved her job at PennDot is an understatement as she took such pride in the roads she plowed. When people asked what she did for a living, her response was, “I pave your roads in the summer, and I plow them in the winter.” She was a feisty, and fun-loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, circle-a-word books, and was always at her daughters’ events in school. She enjoyed her friends at The Legion. MaryLouise’s favorite reply when asked how she was doing was, “rotten and miserable.” Surviving are three daughters, Annette Meyers of Newfoundland, Tina (Craig) Eisenhower of Beech Creek, and Rhonda (John) O’Shell; five grandchildren, Eileen, Bruce, Joseph, Ashley, and Leeah; several great-grandchildren, and several nieces. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, John and one sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Hummel. The family would like to thank Helen Fleegle and Dave Watt for all their help and care. You are just like family. A viewing will be held Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., in Renovo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Avenue, Renovo with Rev. Joseph Orr officiating. Burial will follow at Allport Cemetery in Clearfield County. The family would appreciate in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the family to assist with funeral services, Tina Eisenhower, 737 Masden Hollow Road, Beech Creek, PA 16822.
