Maryellen (Waltimyer) Mckinley

RED LION - MaryEllen (Waltimyer) McKinley, 90, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of William C. “Bill” McKinley who died on October 10, 2009. The couple had been married for 60 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor Otto Mazzoni officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Red Lion Cemetery. Born on April 19, 1931 in Red Lion, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Evelyn Mae (Leiphart) Waltimyer. MaryEllen was an office manager at Bill’s Used Cars and a banquet and event service attendant at Wise Haven and Heritage Hills. MaryEllen taught Sunday School at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Red Lion for most of her adult life. She was an avid horse enthusiast and enjoyed riding on their farm in Felton. Gardening was a favorite of hers. She grew larger than large produce year after year. She enjoyed cooking and canning her homegrown produce. While living at Misericordia, MaryEllen enjoyed the activities there, especially trivia and game days as she was sharp on history, Bible and life in general. Her favorite pastime was reading and studying her Bible, playing along with TV game shows and bluegrass music with her friends. She had a gift for artistry and loved sketching and painting artwork. Mrs. McKinley is survived by three daughters, B. Joyce Ford of Sebastian, FL, Gloria S. Campbell and her husband, Stephen of Felton and Sharon E. Wishard and her husband, Gregory of Felton; four grandchildren, Zachary J. Campbell (Kimberly), MSG Nathan C. Wishard (Jessica), Andrea L. Kilgore (Adley) and Tiffany A. Bookwalter (BJ); seven great grandchildren, Katelin A. Campbell and Hannah L. Campbell; Elijah C. Wishard and Kinslee A. Wishard; Brynlee J. Bookwalter and Averie J. Bookwalter; and Blake S. Kilgore; along with many nieces and nephews. MaryEllen was preceded in death by her four brothers, Dean E. Waltimyer, George N. Waltimyer, H. Lamar Waltimyer and Reynold E. Waltimyer. Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
