Maryanne (Eveler) Newport

Red Lion—Maryanne (Eveler) Newport, 70, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Joseph B. Newport to whom she was married for 45 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10AM, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with the Rev. Kathy Harvey Nelson officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Salem Community Cemetery. Born May 29, 1947 in York, she was a daughter of the late Myles and Louise (Blevins) Eveler. She was a 1965 graduate of Red Lion High School. A loving and dedicated homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, she also previously worked as a packer at Danskin. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Newport is also survived by one daughter, Leslie L. Gonzalez and husband, Tito of Red Lion; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Robinson, both of Red Lion; four great grandchildren, Dominik, Faith, Alyson and Macy; one brother, Roger Eveler of Red Lion; one sister, Patricia Gerlitzki of Red Lion and nieces and nephews.
