Mary W. Sohnleitner

YORK – Mary W. (Jennings) Sohnleitner, 83, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at her home. She was the wife of the late George E. Diehl and the late Jack R. Sohnleitner.

Born April 10, 1939 in York, a daughter of the late Ralph R. and Ida C. (Loringer) Jennings; she was a waitress and dining room supervisor for 48 years at the Victory A.A. where she was loved by many. Mary enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Sohnleitner is survived by a son, Todd A. Diehl of Pittsburgh, PA; two daughters, Kimberly A. Myers of York and Wendy S. Wells and husband Craig Figdore of York; four grandchildren, Tempest, Abby, Stacie, and Mia; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Chapman Jennings of York; and a sister, Jacqueline Rudisill of York. She was preceded in death by a son, George W. “Butch” Diehl; a son-in-law, James Myers; a brother, Sonny Jennings; and two sisters, Nancy Rutter and Kitty March.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be announced at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Victory A.A. Scholarship Fund, 471 S. Ogontz Street, York, PA 17403.
