Mary Viola (Floyd) Spring

YORK- Mary Viola (Floyd) Spring, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 3, 2017 at York Hospital with her loving daughters at her side. She was the wife of the late Lucian A. Spring, to whom she was married 36 years prior to his passing in 1988. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 10, 2017 at St. David’s Evangelical Congregational Church, 2411 Oakland Rd., Dover, PA with her Pastor, The Reverend Pat Teaford, officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service. Interment will be in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, VA. Born June 17, 1934 in Lake City, SC, Mary was the daughter of the late Steven and Annie Dorrell Floyd. She enjoyed reading and the pets she’s had over the years. She was a member of St. David’s EC Church for over 25 years. Mary loved her church and the friends she had made there. The most important thing to her was her family. They were her everything. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Spring is survived by four children, Connie Anderson and her husband Jerry of Dover, Susan Bradley and her husband Jerry of Hampton, VA, Robert Spring and his wife Carole of Westminster, MD, and Steven Spring Sr. of York; nine grandchildren, Pamela, Paula, Amanda, Rachel, Karen, Diane, Steven, Jr., Jennifer, and Jamie; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Monroe Floyd and Durant Floyd; a sister, Pearle Brock, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Spring, and four of her siblings.
