YORK -Mary T. (Martin) Clinton, 91 of York died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at her residence. She was the loving wife of the late Robert H. Clinton and her first husbands, Charles R. Force and Raymond L. Bumgarner. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with the Rev. John Delozier officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blanchard Baptist Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Clinton was born January 30, 1918 in Howard, PA, a daughter of the late Clyde A. and Rosa J. (Chubb) Martin. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, York, where she sang in the choir; and was known for having a vast knowledge of the Bible and its teachings. Mrs. Clinton was also a foster mother to many children over the years. She had a natural ability to play a wide variety of musical instruments, which she enjoyed in her spare time. Mrs. Clinton is survived by a son, David C. Force and wife, Janice M. of York; three daughters, Connie L. Schwartz of Hellam, Deanna Brehm and husband, Gary L. of Shippensburg, and Cynthia K. Grim and husband, Ron of Bowling Green, KT; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and one great-great grandchild on the way; a brother Russell Martin of Howard, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Lee and Larry Eugene Bumgarner; four sisters; and three brothers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924-N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
