Mary T. (Golden) Andrews

AVOCA-Mary T. Andrews, 84, formerly of Hughestown and West Pittston, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Kingston Commons under the care of Celtic Hospice. Born in Pittston on January 3, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Holland) Golden and was a graduate of St. John’s High School. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Bell Telephones Government Services Agency and Pagnotti Enterprises. She was also employed by Wilkes-Barre General Hospital as the Director of Communications for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Andrews, who passed away in 1964; a sister Joanne Pizano and brother Martin Golden. Surviving are her sons, Frank Andrews of Lake Nebagamon, WI; James Andrews, Falls; daughter Therese Giambra, Wyoming; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca.
