Mary Ruth Hill

YORK - Mary Ruth (Augustine) Hill, 84, died at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007 at Rest Haven - York. She was the wife of Richard L. Hill who died March 31, 2002. Following cremation, a private memorial service and burial will be held at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hill was born November 27, 1922, in Concordia, Kansas. She was the daughter of the late William Quincy and Catherine (Bramwell) Augustine. She retired from the Credit Department of Sears Roebuck and Company in 1985 after nearly 30 years with the company and along with her late husband she owned and operated Dick Hill Auto Parts. She was a member of the Auxiliary of Lake Clarke Rescue at Long Level and also of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, York Lodge # 213. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hill was also preceded in death by her brother, William Quincy Augustine, Jr. She leaves a niece and nephew; great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends including Barbara A.
