Mary Patricia Lord

Mary "|Pat" (Evans) Lord, Pottsville, died Sunday evening at the Pottsville Hospital. Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Agnes Driscoll Evans. She was a 1943 graduate of Pottsville high School and worked as a caseworker for the Pottsville office of the Blue Cross & Blue Shield Health Insurance for 30 years. After she retired she did volunteer work for Saint Patrick Church and also worked for the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs Lord was a member of St Patrick Church, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Lord, on June 9, 1994; a sister Elizabeth J. Evans Dietrich Surviving are a daughter Patricia "Patti" A. (Lord)Heffner, widow of Ross C. Heffner; a brother Robert Evans and his wife, Joan, Huntingdon Valley; Two brother-in-laws, Walter Dietrich, Woodbury, N.J., and Charles W. Lord and his wife, Geraldine, Gales Ferry, Conn.; nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celbrated at noon Saturday in Saint Patrick Church, Pottsville. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass. There will be no calling hours Friday evening and no procession form the funeral home to the church Satruday morning. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances to be made to St. Patrick Cemeteries, 319 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville, PA 17901
