Mary M. (Mclane) Ahrens

DALLASTOWN - Mary M. (McLane) Ahrens, 87, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Ahrens to whom she was married to for 64 years. There will be a visitation from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, followed by a Prayer Vigil at 7 p.m. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 251 East Main Street in Dallastown. Burial will be in Dallastown Union Cemetery following the service. Mrs. Ahrens was born in Red Lion on September 2, 1926, the daughter of the late David W. and Genevia A. (Heindel) McLane. Mrs. Ahrens was a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dallastown and worked for many years as a secretary for Guy Hobbs, Inc. in Red Lion. She was a 1944 graduate of York Catholic High School. Mrs. Ahrens leaves a son, Edward Ahrens and his wife Carole of Glenville; two grandchildren, Allison Kleinfelter and her husband, Brad of Mt. Gretna and Emily McSparin and her husband Joshua of Allentown; and a great grandson, Benjamin W. Kleinfelter.
