Mary Louise (Cochrane) Hook

RED LION- Mary Louise (Cochrane) Hook, 83, of York Township passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Manor Care Health Services South in York. She was the wife of the late George B. Hook. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church 311 Haines Rd. in York. Burial will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc,35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Hook was born in Hagerstown, MD on August 6, 1928, daughter of the late Henry A. and Anna Margaret (Uhler) Cochrane. Mrs. Hook retired from Sears in York in 1985, prior to that she worked for Hagerstown Trust Bank. Mrs. Hook was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in York, where she was a member of Women’s Circle, NOAH Retiree’s, and Senior Women’s Lunch Bunch. She was active with Equine Meadows Condo Association activities and volunteered at North Collier Hospital in Bonita Springs, FL. Mrs. Hook leaves two daughters, Karen L. Hook and her husband Mark Bluett and Lynda Jane Kooser of Miami, FL; three grandchildren, Cortny Kooser, Zachary Bluett, and Cody Bluett; a great grandson, Kaden Alexander Kooser; a sister, Anna Margaret “Peg” Krouse and nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to York County Food Bank, 254 West Princess Street, York, PA 17401. Mary loved her family and friends. Her sense of humor will be remembered by all.
