Lock Haven- Mary Lou Kyle-Bittner, 64 of Lock Haven died, Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Lock Haven January 17, 1947 the daughter of the late John K. Jack and Marian L. (Young) Thornton. Mary Lou was married on July 25, 2009 to Don R. Bittner who survives. She was a graduate of Lock Haven University in 1968 and she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She taught third grade at Robb Elementary School for 28 years retiring in 2007. Mary Lou was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church where she was choir director, Senior Warden and served on church Vestry. Surviving are her husband one daughter Kelly Carothers of Boiling Springs, PA and twin sons Keith Klye and Kurtis Kyle both of State College. Also surviving are four grandchildren Max, Cara, MacKenzie and Emily. A Memorial service will be celebrated at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 112 E. Main Street, Lock Haven with Rev. Dr. Will Lawbaugh officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Pauls Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 206, Lock Haven, PA 17745. Arrangements are being handled by the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.
