Mary Lois (Elfner) Shenberger

RED LION – Mary Lois (Elfner) Shenberger, 88, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Manor Care Kingston Court. She was the wife of the late Walter Eugene Shenberger. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Shenberger Chapel Cemetery, New Bridgeville with Rev. Dr. William H. Cluley officiating. Born April 18, 1926 in Dallastown a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Jones) Elfner, she had worked in the Red Lion High School cafeteria and later retired from Dentsply, Inc. Mrs. Shenberger was a member of the former Shenberger Chapel U.M. Church and was active with Order of Eastern Star and Order of Amaranth. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and tending to her flowers. Mrs. Shenberger is survived by a daughter, Daune C. and husband Bob Runkle of Red Lion; two sons, Terry E. and wife Lucinda Shenberger of Red Lion and Jan B. and wife Cynthia Shenberger of Brogue; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandson; a brother, Ray Elfner of East Prospect; and her sister in law, Doris and husband Paul Forry of Dallastown. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
