Mary L. (King) Gladfelter

Middletown—Mary L. (King) Gladfelter, 79, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Frey Village Nursing Home in Middletown. She was the wife of the late Rodman S. Gladfelter. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with the Rev. Stanley Combs of Zion Lutheran Church in York officiating. A viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m., Monday, at the funeral chapel. A burial will be held in Freysville Cemetery. Mrs. Gladfelter was born March 23, 1928 in York, a daughter of the late Ralph L. and Mary E. (Myers) King. She was employed with Caterpillar Tractor Company in York for 23 years, as a Secretary and retired in 1985. A member of Caterpillar-York Retirees Club, she was also a member of the Galleria Gallopers Mall Walkers, Heritage Senior Community Center and AARP-York-West-Chapter #1578. Mrs. Gladfelter is survived by two daughters, Karen M. Johnson and her husband, James of Middletown and Donna J. Runk and her husband, Bradley of Spring Grove, four grandchildren, Stephanie and Kevin Johnson, Sheri Shortlidge and Tara Sowers, 6 great-grandchildren, one sister, Grace Young and her husband George of York.
