Mary K. (Shaffer) Pfeiffer

Dover — Mary K. (Shaffer) Pfeiffer, 77, died Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. She was the wife of Alan Pfeiffer. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 AM, Monday, August 18, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York with Minister Donald Bieber of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness-Brandywine Congregation officiating. A visitation will be held from 9-10 AM, Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born June 21, 1937 in York, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. and Amelia K. (Kohler) Shaffer. A caring homemaker, she loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed taking trips to the beach and camping. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pfeiffer is also survived by two sons, William R. Pfeiffer of Abbottstown and Clair L. Pfeiffer of York; two daughters, Karen L. Brown of York and Mary Jo Nace of Dover; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one step son, David A. Pfeiffer of Nevada; three step daughters, Susan Pfeiffer of York, Deb Wills of Iowa and Tracy Pfeiffer of York. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Pfeiffer and a brother, William Shaffer.
