OLD FORGE-Mary Jo Ann (Reedy) Dale, 54, of Old Forge, passed away Sunday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Bucks County on January 8, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Leo Charles Reedy and the late Joanne (Perks) Reedy-Mirabelli. She attended St. Mary's Parochial School, Avoca and Carbondale High School. She was a former member of St. Mary's Church, Avoca. She was also a member of the VFW, Old Forge. Mary was a 10 year cancer survivor and fought the disease for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who was always willing to help everyone in her family. She was like a mother to everyone. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Christina Reedy, who passed away in 1985. Surviving are her husband, Robert; sons Edward R. Dale and wife Lacy, Honesdale; Patrick J. Dale and wife Gabrielle, Old Forge; James A. Dale, Old Forge; daughter Mary Ann Dale, Hanover Twp., grandchildren Tyler, Sabrina, Logan, Hatty, Memphis, Gia, Autumn, Sebastian and Madison; brothers Leo C. Reedy and wife Theresa, Moscow; Patrick J. Reedy, Falls; Joseph P. Reedy, South Canaan; sisters Kathryn L. Racavich, Throop; Jo Ellen Ferkile and husband John, Dickson City; Helen Coles and husband Ronald, Old Forge; several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca. Interment services will be private at the convenience of the family in St. Mary's Cemetery, Avoca. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made at an M&T Bank in her name.
