Mary Jane Glagola

Mary Jane (Craft) Glagola, 69, of Red Lion, died at 3:30 am Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Paul Nicholas “Nick” Glagola with whom she celebrated a 38th wedding anniversary on September 16, 2016. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at St. John Chrysostom Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2397 North Sherman St., York with the Very Reverend Father Peter Pier officiating. Viewings will be 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with a Trisagion service at 8:30 pm and from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday at the church. Jane was born in York on March 14, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Leroy and Margaret Louise (Uffelman) Craft. She was a 1966 graduate of Northeastern High School and York County Vocational Technical School and then, in 1967, attended York Junior College for more than a year. Jane was a skilled seamstress and worked at JLM Sewing Factory in Red Lion as well as factories in Mt. Wolf and York. She was also an independent wedding gown designer and fabricator having owned and operated Beautiful Beginnings on South Main Street in Red Lion. She was a founding member of St. John Chrysostom Antiochian Orthodox Church and had been a Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Antiochian Women’s Group and the church choir and was a former member of the York Ecumenical Chorus. She was a member of the York Quilting Association and was a life member of the Grantley Fire Company. In addition to her husband, Jane is survived by her son, Kenneth Brian Kauffman and wife, Pascha of York Springs; her two daughters, Kimberly Ann Spangle and husband, Pat of York, and Kenda Lynn Kulp and husband, George of Carlisle; nine grandchildren, Sidney, Noah, Zachary and Lottie Kauffman, Karly, Cassidy and Jeremy Spangle, and Nathan and Garon Kulp. She was preceded in death by her sister, Arma-Lou Craft. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Chrysostom Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2397 N. Sherman St., York, PA 17402.
