ALLENTOWN-Mary Jane Roginsky, formerly of Avoca, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4th, at her Allentown home. Mary was born on September 14, 1922 in Avoca. She was a daughter of the late John Barlow and Elizabeth (Stark) Barlow. She was a graduate of Avoca High School Class of 1941. She worked as a teacher's aide at Union Terrace Elementary School, Allentown, from 1971 until she retired in 1983. She also assisted with her husband's electrical business until 1992. Prior to that, she worked in the garment industry and for the A&P grocery chain. During World War II, she was a parts specialist for Western Union in Jersey City, New Jersey. Mary enjoyed cooking and crocheting many of her own Christmas displays. Mary was preceded in death by sisters, Agnes Ross, Doris Burnside and Dorothy Donohue; brothers Warren Barlow, James Barlow, Edward Barlow and John Barlow, Jr. She was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Eugene F. Roginsky, Sr.; son Dr. Eugene F. Roginsky, Jr. and his wife, Jodie, of Danville; son, Dr. Thomas J. Roginsky and his wife, Dr. Michele Bernardich and grandson, Thomas J. Roginsky, Jr., of Whitehall; sister, Elizabeth Jumper of Duryea. The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca with services at 11:00 a.m. in St. John's Primitive Methodist Church, 314 Main Street, Avoca. The Reverend Rick Rock will officiate. Interment will follow in Langcliffe Cemetery, Avoca. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
