Mary J. (Neely) Sciangula

York—Mary J. (Neely) Sciangula, 82, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of George F. Sciangula to whom she was married for 61 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born November 11, 1933 in Red Lion, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Myers) Neely. She was employed with Beasley Ford for 25 years in their accounting department until her retirement in 1988. An avid Penn State Football Fan, she also collected elephants, was a talented self taught seamstress for her family and enjoyed burning music onto cd’s. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sciangula is also survived by one son, Michael S. Sciangula and his wife, Kelley of York; one daughter, Patricia J. Danner and her husband, Frederick of Dover; five grandchildren, Angela Stockman, Jill Small, Randy Sciangula, Jason Danner and Amanda Spahr; six great grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Yohe; two step brothers, John and Scott Neely and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan M. Maclary, a brother, George Neely III; step mother, Anna Neely and step brother, Mark Neely. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
