Mary 'Helen' (Sutherland) Warner

NORTH CODORUS TOWNSHIP- Mary Helen (Sutherland) Warner, 79, of Spring Grove, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at Rest Haven in York. She was the wife of Harold L. Warner. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on April 18, 2010. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday and 9:30-10 a.m Tuesday. The Reverend Dr. William H. Beck will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in St. Pauls Union Cemetery in Stoverstown. Mrs. Warner was born in Cleveland, VA on October 20, 1931, a daughter of the late Henry D. and Beulah (Johnson) Sutherland. She retired from Mercury Electronics after over 20 years of service. Mrs. Warner was a 1950 graduate of Codorus Township High School. She devoted her life to caring for her family and friends and enjoyed gardening, especially her roses. Along with her husband Harold, Mrs. Warner leaves a daughter, Sandy Stern and her husband Michael of Medford, NJ; three grandchildren, Bert Stern, Sara Neal, and Reese Stern; two great grandchildren, Caroline and Luke Neal; two brothers, Henry Sutherland of Hanover and Clyde Sutherland of Dallastown; and a sister Ann Hayes of Arlington, VA Memorial contributions may be made to Fox Chase Cancer, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111 or www.Fccc.edu.com .
