Mary Helen (Huff) Morrison

MILTON - Mary Helen (Huff) Morrison, 81, of Woodsedge Court, died on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at River Woods, Lewisburg. She was born on January 16, 1927 in New Columbia and was a daughter of the late Merrill and Sarah K. (Lynn) Huff, Sr. She was married to William Clifford "Cliff" Morrison, Jr. on June 26, 1948 in Vanderveer Park Methodist Church in Brooklyn, New York by the Reverend John Atkins. Mrs. Morrison had graduated from the Milton High School in 1944 and spent four years working in New York City as a secretary before returning to the Milton Area. She had retired from the Milton Area School District in 1982 as a bookkeeper and from the Geisinger Medical Center in 1993 as purchasing assistant. She enjoyed her family, friends, quilting, crafts and traveling. She was a member of the Bethany United Church in Milton since 1945. She was also a member of AARP. In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Thomas W. and Jamie Morrison of Milton, three daughters and one son-in-law; Linda D. Schepis of Danville, Patricia A. Olson of Fayetteville, NC and Joan M. and Herman Rockey of Watsontown, and seven grandchildren; Nicholas and Daniel Schepis, Angela and Alicia Olson, Eric Rockey and Thomas and Bryon Morrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother; Merrill Huff, Jr. and one sister; Marguerite Huff. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Will Hallman will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary's memory may be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church, 18 Center St., Milton, PA 17847.
