DOVER - Mary Hazel (Moore) Hartman, 91, was carried by angels to her heavenly home on Friday evening, May 30, 2008. She was the wife of Clarence Edward Hartman who died October 22, 2006. The couple had been married for 71 years. Following cremation, a service to celebrate Mrs. Hartman's life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Dover Bethany United Methodist Church, 4510 Bull Rd., Dover with her pastor, the Rev. Brad Gilbert officiating. A time of visitation with refreshments will be held at the church immediately following the service, then followed by burial at Mt. Rose Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, York is entrusted with the arrangements. Mrs. Hartman was born February 19, 1917, in Delta. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Grace (Knopp) Moore. She retired in 1975 as a cutter with Danskin, Inc. after 10 years with the company. She was a longtime member of Dover Bethany United Methodist Church, the Dover Fire Company and had formerly been a member of the Farm Women's Organization of York County. She enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures including knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time at the family hunting camp in the mountains of Tioga County. In later years, she also enjoyed just sitting on the glider with her husband watching the squirrels and rabbits. Mrs. Hartman is survived by her two daughters, Loris Anne Crone and husband, Dean of Dover and Cheryl Lee Minck of Dover; six grandchildren, Mark and Erik Crone, Cindy Grim, Tara Yinger, Kelly Brenneman and Ron Minck, Jr.; 14 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Louey of Dover. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ron Minck, Sr.; a sister, Bertha Elizabeth Moore; and a stepbrother, Edward Knopp. Memorial contributions may be made to Dover Bethany United Methodist Church, 4510 Bull Rd., Dover, PA 17315.
