Mary Ellen ( Reynolds) Pittenger

DOVER - Mary Ellen (Reynolds) Pittenger, 85, died Friday, March 1, 2013 at her daughter’s residence in Spring Grove. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Pittenger. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 3-4 p.m. Pastor Bonnie Whittinger will be officiating at the service. Mary was born in Hanover on February 28, 1928, the daughter of the late Clarence R. and Bertha M. (Wolf) Reynolds. Mary was a member of the Fountain Blue Skating Club. She was an avid gardener, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mary leaves five daughters, Bonnie Orwick and her husband Rodney of Chattanooga, TN, Jackie Stitt and her husband Robert of Dover, Joan Wilt and her husband Bryon of Dover, Rose Mary Altland and her husband Rodger of Spring Grove; and Victoria Rabenstine of Gwenn’s Island, VA; a son, Michael Rabenstine of Toledo, OH; 10 grandchildren; 2 step grandsons; 21 great grandchildren; and stepchildren, Kenneth Pittenger and Pam Gurrdri. She was preceded in death by a son, Harry Rabenstine, a stepson, Michael Pittenger and two brothers, Glen Reynolds and Clifton Reynolds.
