SHIREMANSTOWN - Mary Elizabeth (Fellabaum) Smith, 88 of Lower Allen Twp., passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. She was the wife of C.J. Smith originally of Glen Rock. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on July 13, 2011. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Zion United Methodist Church, 1 North Main Street, East Prospect, PA, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. The Reverend Albert R. Horst and The Reverend Jan E. Custer will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in East Prospect. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Smith was born in East Prospect on April 16, 1924, daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (Poff) Fellabaum. Mrs. Smith was a 1941 Graduate of William Penn Senior High School in York. She was employed by Elmer R. Fink, CPA for many years and was where she retired. After retirement, she volunteered part-time for the American Heart Association for eight years. She was a life-long member of Zion United Methodist Church in East Prospect, where she taught in the Primary Department for 30 years, was a member of the Choir, Girl Scout Leader, and she and her husband C.J. were advisors for the Youth Fellowship. She and C.J. enjoyed many Holidays in Williamsburg, VA. Along with her husband, she is survived by an Aunt, Reba Smith of York and numerous cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Rd., Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
