Mary Elizabeth Abel

EAST PROSPECT – Mary Elizabeth (Stephenson) Abel, 87, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Victorian Villa in Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Van B. Abel. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Family of God Community Church, 147 1st Avenue, Red Lion with Pastor Howard Edmondson officiating. Private burial will in East Prospect Cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Abel was born on July 14, 1929 in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Clarence and Charlotte (Bryson) Stephenson. She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte and husband Frank Miller of Stewartstown; a son, V. Rick and wife Darlene Abel of York; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Stewart of West Fairview, Cumberland Co.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
