Mary E. (Napp) Poust

Mary E. (Napp) Poust, 89, of Northumberland died Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Nottingham Village, Northumberland. She was born on June 5, 1928 in Winfield and was the daughter of the late Park E. and Sarah E. (Bower) Napp. On June 5 1948, Mary married the late James W. Poust and they celebrated 21 years of marriage together until his death on August 2, 1970. Mary was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School, Class of 1946. She worked for several different places over the years including; Chef Boyardee, Milton Shoe Factory, Schroyer Dress Factory of Milton, Zennith of Watsontown and JPM of Lewisburg. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kratzerville and WELCA. She enjoyed sewing and word searches. Mary is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law; Robert E. and Betty Napp of Winfield and Charles E. and Helen Napp of New Columbia, one sister; Shirley I. Herbster of Winfield, two sisters-in-law; Grace A. Napp of Milton and Elva L. Napp of Selinsgrove along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by three brothers; William E. and Marlin E. Napp and an infant brother that was a twin to Robert, two nephews; Keith and Ed Napp and one great nephew; Jeremy VonNeida. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4298 Route 204, Selinsgrove, PA 17870. The family would like to thank all the staff of Country Comfort, New Columbia and Nottingham Village for their excellent care while Mary was a resident there. A public viewing will be held from 9:00a.m. – 10:00a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4298 Route 204, Selinsgrove followed by the funeral at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick White officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Local arrangements are being handled by Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
