Mary E. (Laudenslager) Havens

TROY- Mary E. (Laudenslager) Havens, 73, of Troy, PA passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Bradford County Manor with her family holding her hands. She was the wife of the late F. LaRue Havens who passed away on July 18, 2005. The couple married April 6, 1963 and had 42 happy years together. Mary was born on May 16, 1938 in Blossburg, PA, daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Bianchi) Laudenslager. Mary worked for the stocking factory in Troy, American Silk, and she and LaRue had the laundry Mat on East Main Street in Troy. She enjoyed bowling, puzzles and sewing. Mary worked for both Bradford Basket and Peterbow Basket companies, sewing liners for their baskets. The most important thing in Mary’s life was her family. She is survived by her three children; daughter Penny Streeter and her husband, Randy, of Troy; sons Randy Havens of Troy and also son Craig Havens and his wife, Martha of Granville Summit. Mary had seven grandchildren; Joshua Streeter, Amanda Manning and husband Chris, Samantha Streeter and fiancé’ Josh Curren, Jessica Streeter, Dylan Havens, Lucas Havens and Isaac Havens, her sisters and brother Barb (Bob) Slingerland, Rose (Donnie) Shadduck, Ruth, Esther, and Paul Laudenslager, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband LaRue, and by 15 of her brothers and sisters. Family and friends are welcome to call from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA.
