Mary E. (Hartman) Miller

YORK – Mary E. (Hartman) Miller, 96, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Henry A. Miller. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Miller was born on September 10, 1915 in York. She was the daughter of the late John M. and Mary D. (Markey) Hartman. She operated a market stand at the Central Market in York, and was also employed by Dallastown Manufacturing Company and Hardee’s of York. Mrs. Miller was a member of New Fairview Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Miller is survived by three sons, Glenn A. Miller and wife Anna, Ray H. Miller and Dale E. Miller and wife Heidi; two daughters, Gladys L. Duncan and husband Gary and Carolyn E. Brenneman; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Samuel M. Hartman. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John H. Hartman and Daniel M. Hartman.
