Mary E. Gorski

WILKES-BARRE Mary E. Gorski, 96, of Wyomissing, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Reading. She was born on January 6, 1912 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Martha (Mapston) Day. Mary was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Wilkes-Barre. Prior to retiring, she worked for 21 year at Woodbury Manufacturing. She was also a member of the Wilkes-Barre Senior Citizen's Club. She is survived by three sons, William, Mechanicsville, VA, James, Endicott, NY, and Barry, Wyomissing, PA, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by; her husband, John A. Gorski who died in 1979, three brothers, Ben, Elmer and Samuel Day, three sisters, Gertrude Day, Edith Singer, and Dorothy Rosegrant. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 3:00PM from the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465. S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Reverend Sandy Piccione officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friend may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM till the time of the service.
