Mary E. (Dunkle) Reever

Mary E. (Dunkle) Reever, 95, died on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Manor Care North. She was the wife of the late Leonard J. Reever who died on January 24, 1993. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Viewings will be from 6 pm. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Born on June 25, 1921 in Newberry Twp., she was a daughter of the late William F. and Minnie V. (Deardorff) Dunkle. Mary was a seamstress for South Pine Nightwear for over 30 years. Mrs. Reever was a member of Shiloh U.C.C. Mary was also a member of Cannonaders Square Dance Club and the Nashville Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Reever is survived by three sons, Glenn E. Reever and wife, Nancy of York New Salem, Donald L. Reever and wife, Donna of Spring Grove and Dale L. Reever and wife, Nancy of Spring Grove; two daughters, Marie E. Garvick and husband, Donald of Silver Spring, MD and Gloria M. Bauer and husband, Jack of Macungie; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Fox of York. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Elwood and Catherine Schroll; one brother, William Dunkle, Jr.; and one step brother, Edward Jackson.
