Mary E. Baldwin

YORK - Mary E. "Betty" (Shaub) Baldwin, 82, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Baldwin. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 24, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, The Rev. Dr. Charles W. Salisbury officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Sunday and 9-10:00 AM Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Geisey Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Born April 12, 1927 in Black Lick, Cambria Co., a daughter of the late Dr. Paul D. and Elisabeth B. (Cornely) Shaub, she was a graduate of Gettysburg College. Mrs. Baldwin retired in 1985 from Red Lion Area School District where she was an elementary school teacher. She was a member of Cotillion Club of York; PSEA Retirement System; Bon Air Country Club; Red Lion Business and Professional Women's Assoc.; and St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Red Lion. She had also served as a past president for College Club of York County and past president of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Mrs. Baldwin is survived by two cousins, Robert Shaub of Shrewsbury and Gloria Loomis of Athens, OH.
