Mary (Chaump) Boris

AVOCA-Mary (Chaump) Boris, 78, of Avoca, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at her home. Her husband of 56 years is Edward Boris. Born in Avoca on April 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Stasia (O'Brien) Chaump and was a graduate of Avoca High School. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Avoca, where she was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Mrs. Boris was employed by ICA as a math instructor and was later employed by Pittston Area as a teacher's aide. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Eric and his wife, Lisa of Avoca; Edward and his wife, Patricia of Astoria, New York; three grandchildren, Maria and Amy Boris of Avoca and Erik Boris of Astoria, New York. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Avoca. The Reverend Joseph Elston will officiate. Interment will following St. Mary's Cemetery, Avoca. Friends may call Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
