Mary C. (Overmiller) Kocher

Red Lion — Mary C. (Overmiller) Kocher, 100, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late Alvin I. Kocher. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday March 13, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with the Rev. C. Leroy Doverspike officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born September 12, 1912 in North Hopewell Township, she was a daughter of the late Daniel E. and Jennie M. (Grove) Overmiller. She was employed with various cigar companies in Red Lion area and later retired from House of Windsor. A member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Red Lion, she was also part of the church’s Sunshine Girls Sunday School Class. She loved keeping a clean home, a neat yard and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Mrs. Kocher is survived by one son, Frederick Kocher and his wife, Rosemarie of Red Lion; three daughters, Sandra Hengst and husband, Ronald of Downingtown, Janelle Warner and husband, Glenn of York and Lori Hall and husband, Jeff of York; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one sister, Lois Flinchbaugh of York and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive, 1801 Folkemer Circle, York, Pa 17404.
