Mary C. (Freitag) Davis

RED LION- Mary C. (Freitag) Davis, 72, died on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at her residence. She was the wife of John H. Davis, III to whom she was married 51 years. The couple wed on August 21, 1971.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating. Viewings will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Red Lion Zion Cemetery, Felton Rd.

Born on October 1, 1950 in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late William and Thelma (Albert) Freitag. Mary was the Supervisor of Pathology at Union Memorial Hospital for several years.

Mrs. Davis was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family and enjoyed taking care of everyone.

Along with her husband, John, Mary is survived by her son, Christopher Davis and his wife, Krista of New Park, PA; daughter, Caroline Finn and her husband, Robert of Perry Hall, MD; two grandchildren, Christopher “CJ” Davis, Jr. and his wife, Kiersten of Glen Rock and Emma Davis of New Park; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Canon and Dorothea Bonner; and three brothers, James Freitag, Louis Freitag and William Freitag.
