Mary C. (Ferruzza) White

YORK- Mary C. (Ferruzza) White, 97, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at her daughter’s residence. She was the wife of the late Henry White who died on October 16, 2002. The couple had been married for 50 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Fr. Mark Weiss officiating. A viewing will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. The tribute service will be webcast at HeffnerCare.com by searching Mary’s obituary. Born on May 30, 1924 in Johnstown, she was a daughter of the late Mariano and Concetta (LaRocca) Ferruzza. Mary was part owner and operator of White Jewelers in York until retiring at age 65. Mrs. White was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dallastown. She enjoyed knitting blankets which she donated to a children’s home, playing Bingo with her friends and traveling the world with her husband and relatives. Mrs. White is survived by her son, John W. White of York; two daughters, Donna M. Labaw of York and Brenda A. Vowles of Ormond Beach, FL; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
