MILTON - Mary C. (Carr) Kearney, 68, died on Friday, August 17, 2007 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. She was the devoted and loving wife of Adrian J. Kearney to who she married on December 15, 1962 and celebrated 44 years of marriage. Mary was born on May 15, 1939 in Danville and was a daughter of the late Roland Carr and Evelyn (Ritter) Smith. She was a 1957 graduate of Lewisburg High School. She was retired from American Home Foods in 2001 after 43 years service. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Milton, organized and worked the annual Red Cross Oldies/Valentines Dance. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was always helping and giving to people. She enjoyed babysitting her granddaughter and enjoyed shopping, landscaping in her yard, doing home remodeling projects in her home and making silk flower arrangements and giving them as gifts. In addition to her husband, Adrian, Mary is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law; Yvonne M. and Terry Coup of Milton and Lori A. and Daniel Smith of Northumberland, three grandchildren; Christina N. Coup of Milton, Jason A. Coup and his fiancee' Melissa Marie of Milton and Jocelyn E. Smith of Northumberland, two brothers; Ronald Carr of Milton and James Carr of New Columbia, step father; Joseph Smith of Milton, one step brother; James "Pete" Smith of Milton and three stepsisters; Denise Anspach of Milton, Pam Nelson of McEwensville and Georgia Bitler of Hughsville and her beloved cat "Cracker Jack". In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one brother; Samuel Carr and one sister; Amy Lorraine Carr. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with her paster, the Reverend Douglas J. Seagle officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2007 and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Memorial contributions in Mary's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 229 Center St., Milton, PA 17847.
