Mary Ann (Vensel) Romberger

York—Mary Ann (Vensel) Romberger, 63, passed peacefully Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at her home in Manchester Township. She was the beloved wife of Thomas W. Romberger to whom she was married for 39 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, PA 17408. Viewings will be held Monday, from 6-8 PM and Tuesday, from 9-11 AM at the funeral home. Born August 6, 1949 in Saltsburg, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Catherine (Krivoniak) Vensel. She was a graduate of Saltsburg High School, and the California State College. She was employed with Lincoln Intermediate Unit throughout York County for over 40 years as a Speech Language Pathologist until her retirement in 2011. A jewelry aficionado, she also worked in the fine jewelry departments of Best Products, Jewel-Cor, Hecht's, Macy’s, and Bon-Ton. A member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in York, she enjoyed gardening and trips to the family vacation home in Parry Sound, Canada. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Romberger is also survived by one son, David T. Romberger of York. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Romberger’s name to the SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
