Mary Ann (Shimkoski) D' Agosta

Mary Ann (Shimkoski) D’Agosta, 82, of Dupont, passed away on Thursday November 14, 2013 at her home. Born in Dupont on March 10, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Stanish) Shimkoski. Mary Ann was a 1948 graduate of Dupont High School and 1952 nursing graduate of Temple University. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. In 1986, Mary Ann retired from Fairfield Hills Hospital, Newtown, CT where she worked as an registered nurse for over 34 years. Mary Ann was a avid reader, she could finish a book in a day. Preceding her in death was her loving son, Ralph Anthony Jr., three brothers, Edward, John and Joseph Shimkoski. Left to cherish her memory are two loving daughters, Denise D. Baxter, and her husband, Guy, Patterson, LA, Jacqueline Morse, and her husband, Kevin, New Milford, CT, a son, Michael Joseph D’Agosta, Danbury, CT., 3 grandsons, Derek (Sydney) D’Agosta, Raymond (Lisa) and Nicholas Morse, 4 grandchildren Larson, Tensley, Blaine and Tyler, 2 sisters, Theresa Shimkoski and Rose Pilkonis, both of Dupont, 2 brothers, Robert, Dupont and Stanley, Wilkes-Barre, several nieces and nephews. Private Services will be held a Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 728 Main Street, Avoca with Father Joseph Verespy officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
