Mary Ann Lentz

YORK- Mary Ann Lentz, 94, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Seaton Springwood. She was the beloved wife of the late Russell C. Lentz.

Mary Ann was born on July 30, 1928, to the late Melvin L. and Lottie O. (Wolf) Innerst and raised by the late Vernetta and George I. Leader.

Mary Ann was a 1946 graduate of William Penn Senior High. She was a social member of Viking Athletic Association. She worked for the American Chain and Cable Company. Also, she enjoyed being a library aide at Loganville Springfield Elementary School where she loved helping students find the perfect book to read. She retired after 24 years of service. She was a life member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jacobus.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Innerst and husband, Joe and her two grandsons and families, which were the joy of her life-Robert and Kara Innerst of OH and Joey and Cassie Innerst of CT and eight great grandchildren, JJ, Lincoln, Reagan, Kennedy, Jacob, Cameron, Parker, and Grayson. Also surviving is a niece Ellen Senft and nephews, John Senft and Gary Hawkins along with four grand nephews and two grand nieces. Her sisters Gloria Senft and Mildred Hawkins preceded her in death.

A funeral service in honor of Mary Ann’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Salem Lutheran Church, 99 York Rd., in Jacobus, with a viewing from 9-10 a.m. Pastor Tina Minnich will be officiating at the service.
