Mary Ann (Bensing) Klein

YORK - Mary Ann (Bensing) Klein, 77, died on August 26, 2008 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, after a brief illness. She had been a resident there since December. Born on March 29, 1931 in Reading, she was the daughter of Marion (Keeney) Bensing of New York and the late Warren Bensing. She graduated from Reading High School. She was a wife and homemaker most of her life raising three children, but did work outside the home at Walkers, Jacks, and the Bon-Ton. She took part in various community organizations including the Historical Architectural Review Board and the South Central Citizens for Action. She enjoyed the arts and was a frequent volunteer usher at the Strand Theater. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church. Mrs. Klein is survived by one son, Jonathan I. Klein of York, two daughters, Marcia K. Sterner of Windermere, FL, and Jayme K. Orlevitch, of Glenside, four grandchildren, Malorie, Paige, Alex, and Lily, and one sister, Grace Dietrich of New York A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled by the family at a later date. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements.
