YORK Mary Alice (Luckenbaugh) Bricker, 88, of West Manchester Twp., died at 6:32 a.m. Friday May 22, 2009, at Providence Place. She was the wife of Curvin L. Bricker, Sr. who died April 28, 1998. Private services celebrating Mrs. Bricker's life will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Jody Fleming, chaplain with AseraCare Hospice, officiating. Entombment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bricker was born October 20, 1920, in Jackson Twp. She was the daughter of the late Robert G. and Henrietta R. (Jamison) Luckenbaugh. She was a devoted homemaker and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who had a true zest for life. Her friends and family will fondly remember her skill and generosity in the kitchen, routinely cooking and baking special meals and treats. She was also a hard worker who over the years could be found working part time at Susquehanna Speedway, PADE Auto Auction, and Bricker's French Fries. She was a former member of Union Lutheran Church. Mrs. Bricker is survived by her two sons, Curvin L. Bricker, Jr. and wife, Cathy of Dover and Donald A. Bricker of York; her daughter, Marlene M. Kristick and husband, Clarence of York; three grandchildren, Teresa Marquette and husband, Ronald, Craig Bricker and wife Barbara, and Kevin Bricker and wife, Denise; and six great grandchildren, Carly, Trey, Bryn, Kade, Brianna and Dylan. Mary was preceded in death by her four brothers and four sisters.
