TROY- Mary Adda (King) Morris, 89, of Farmers Valley, PA went to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Bradford County Manor. She was the loving wife of the late Walter Allen Morris who passed away on May 1, 1978. The couple married in 1955 and had 23 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA and again from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church of Troy, 1030 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Mary’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 29th at the church with Pastor William Bardo officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mary was born on April 17, 1923 in New York, NY, daughter of the late P.S. and Cynthia (Dickinson) King. She was a Troy High School graduate, Class of 1941, and attended Cedar Crest College. She worked for the family business, P.S. King’s Hardware Store in Troy, and later at Canfords in Canton. She was a life member of the Troy VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Troy Community Hospital Auxiliary, and the 23’ers Club. Mary enjoyed Genealogy, cross word puzzles, and spending time with her family. She was a selfless person who always put her family and others before herself. Mary is survived by her children: Mary Anne (Ed) Gallew of Arizona, John (Dee) Cole, Jr. of Towanda, PA, Nancy (Ron) Conklin of Millerton, PA, P.J. (Nettie) Cole of Woodland, NC, and Allene Watson of Farmers Valley, PA, twelve grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, and her feline companion Lucky. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband John Cole, her second husband Walter Morris, her daughter Cynthia Morris, her son-in-law Walter Watson, and great grandchildren Bayli and Evan Gallew. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Troy, 1030 West Main Street Troy, PA 16947.
