Mary A. Yeastadt

Pottsville- Mary A. Yeastadt, 73, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday evening at her home in Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on January 1, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Rosenberger Schmitt. Mary worked for Attorney Mike O’Pake as his Housekeeper but also did anything that needed to be done around the office. Mary was a member of Saint John the Baptist Church, Pottsville. She loved traveling to Long Beach Island, NJ, every year for her family vacation. She had a great love for animals and enjoyed doing puzzles. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Albert “Butch” Schmitt and her sister, Elizabeth “Tootsie” Barone. Mary is survived by her companion of 27 years, John “Jack” Morrison, with whom she resided; her son, William Yeastadt, of Schuylkill Haven; her two daughters, Linda Manderfeld, wife of Michael ,of Warren, PA, and Nancy Yeastadt, of Pottsville; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Zack, Billy and Dante Yeastadt and Michael and Olivia Manderfeld, Scott Yeasted and Sabrina and Tori Saunders; two brothers, William “Hick” Schmitt and Jackie Schmitt, both of Pottsville; her three sisters, Patsy Trabosh, Dottie Brown , both of Pottsville and Dolly Reichert, of Auburn; her beloved dogs, Darla and Zoey; many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., Pottsville. Family and friends may call on Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.
